InfraSensing sensors and Nagios

Nagios is one of the most used open source solutions for systems availability monitoring. If your organization already uses Nagios and wishes to integrate environmental monitoring from InfraSensing with it, then this is possible. No plug-in required.

How does it work?

In order to integrate with Nagios a device needs support the SNMP protocol - a foundation of Nagios. It relies on the by default available check-snmp check type. InfraSensing's sensors have a built-in SNMP agent compatible with Nagios. Using simple SNMP get requests Nagios users can query sensors for real time status.

We have compiled a step by step manual for integrating our sensors with Nagios and a set of sample configuration scripts (cfg files).
